Kinetic modelling for pyrolytic degradation of olive tree pruning residues with predictions under various heating configurations

چکیده

Herein, the aim was to develop an in-depth understanding of kinetic behaviour olive tree pruning residue (OTPR), abundant agricultural waste, during pyrolysis. Thermal analysis at 1, 2, 4, 6 and 10 °C.min−1 performed using TGA-thermogravimetric analysis, with results subsequently used determine OTPR's thermal breakdown behaviour. Furthermore, advanced kinetics technology solutions (AKTS) thermo-kinetic tool applied investigate OTPR generate predictions for various heating configurations. Friedman's method main approach evaluate parameters. For comparison, other established modelling techniques, such as ASTM-E698 Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (FWO) methods, were applied. The yielded apparent activation energy (Ea) 172.09 kJ.mol−1, whereas FWO Ea range from 38 172 kJ.mol−1. Finally, differential iso-conversional values ranging between 85 191 Kinetic then developed isothermal, non-isothermal, stepwise configurations parameters obtained via Friedman’s model. forecasts shed light on optimising production throughput in a variety reactor

TCF bleaching sequence in kraft pulping of olive tree pruning residues.

The aim of the present work was to find a suitable Kraft cooking process for olive tree pruning (OTP), in order to produce pulp of kappa number about 17. The Kraft pulp produced under optimized conditions showed a viscosity of 31.5 mPa·s and good physical, mechanical, and optical properties, which are suitable for paper production. The physical-mechanical and optical properties were measured be...

Industrial harvesting of olive tree pruning residue for energy biomass.

In Mediterranean countries, olive tree pruning residue represents an abundant source of energy biomass, still largely unexploited for lack of cost-effective harvesting technology. The authors tested two industrial pruning harvesters, capable of overcoming the limits of lighter units appeared in the past years. One of the machines was designed for application to a powerful farm tractor, whereas ...

Biorefining strategy for maximal monosaccharide recovery from three different feedstocks: eucalyptus residues, wheat straw and olive tree pruning.

This work proposes the biorefining of eucalyptus residues (ER), wheat straw (WS) and olive tree pruning (OP) combining hydrothermal pretreatment (autohydrolysis) with acid post-hydrolysis of the liquid fraction and enzymatic hydrolysis of the solid fraction towards maximal recovery of monosaccharides from those lignocellulose materials. Autohydrolysis of ER, WS and OP was performed under non-is...
